MADE expo (Milano, Architettura, Design, Edilizia) is a new Italian and international trade fair focusing on building and architecture which began 5 February and will be open to the public until February 9th 2008. in the Fiera Milano-Rho trade fair district.

There are over 1500 exhibitors at the event, including GranitiFiandre, Ariostea High-Tech, FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti and IRIS Ceramica, divided into eight sectors focusing on different aspects of the construction industry.

MADE expo was opened with “Build&Grow”, a convention was focusing on innovation in architecture and sustainability in building. The “Building architecture” workshop focused on innovation in architecture, looking at materials, components and design choices.foto-architettura_h_001.jpg
On 6 February “Growing the City” workshop will look at the theme of sustainable design on an urban scale. Also, other workshop “Construction on Site” will focus on building elements and innovation in components. About 100 meetings will be organised throughout the duration of the fair by trade and industry associations, research centres and universities.

The fair will also feature the “Skin” pathway exhibition presenting the latest architectural surfaces interpreted by well-known architects, accompanying visitors on a trip through fourteen metropolises with different architectural features.
