A video installation of director Peter Greenway opened the new museum in the dream of cinema- Triennale Design Museum.

After three years of work , the Italian design has found the place where put on display. On 6 December, it opened its doors in Milan ,”Triennale Design Museum. Instead of a mausoleum or a showroom it will be a dynamic museum. There will be a rotation speed of productions every 18-24 month to persuade the public to return repeatedly.

If we make a comparison with serial television , we could say that this opening like permanent collection of museum, put its first episode about a theme “What is Italian design?”

The director Peter Greenway, made a good host to visitors with a multi screen projection. The museum shares ten thematic areas. First steps of visitors were in ” Teatro Agora”, designed by Italo Rota, what is the heart of the new museum. This space covered with raw wood and equipped with multiple video equipment, and it will host meetings and performances. Then, there are “La Luce dello Spirito” as forms and emotions of the lighting between design and technology (film by Antonio Capuano). “La Dinamicita” speaks about innovation and experimentation from futurism to today (David Ferrari).

Furthermore is “Il Teatro Animista”, as a home theater, objects as actors talk with the people, from armchair Proust by Alessandro Mendini (film by Mario Martone).
